FULL RESET FOR CASSIOPEIA A20 WINDOWS CE 2.0
Chema Carrion
If you want to reset your Cassiopeia 2.0 to factory state itīs very easy. First of all donīt forget to make a full back-up. With this reset ALL DOCUMENTS AND PROGRAMS WILL BE DELETED, you will just keep the factory windows CE 2.0 default programs ie. pocket word, inbox etc. Even the cassiopeia service pack 1 will be deleted. You can do it if you get your hpc locked and you canīt reboot wiht the reset button. This can happen, testing betas, or simply because of memory contamination, REMEMBER: MAKE A BACK UP NOW!!!. All you have to do is press at the same time three buttons: Control, ALT, Reset. Whith that you will get to a MENU like following: All memory content will be deleted! Touch the screen to continue or press the reset button again to abort without deleting anything.

If you touch the screen the hpc will be fully reseted, and all the contents will be lost. You will be conducted to a pen calibration screen like the first time you switched on your HPC. After that you should make a restore to recover your documents and programs. Remember: This is an emergency procedure, made at your own risk. MAKE A BACK UP BEFORE OR YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING.

If you ever crash your HPC soo bad that it won't even turn back on after resetting.
David Murray
If you ever crash your HPC soo bad that it won't even turn back on after resetting. I've found that on the Cassiopeia and the Compaq versions, you can actually remove both the main and backup batteries for about 5 - 10 seconds and it will reset everything but your memory will still remain intact. Any longer than 10 seconds and you are sure that all data will be lost.
