Yes, I have used it since CE 1.0 when I had a Casio A-11. It takes some
getting used to, but you can use the HPC to control a desktop. I use pcA CE
for reading mail and getting files (via FTP on desktop and HPC). My biggest
tip would be to set the desktop screen to 640x480, to help minimize
scrolling. Also, set the screen saver to just blank the screen vice some
fancy saver - this speeds up the initial connection.

If you are using a color HPC, make sure you get the patch to the remote
portion of pcA CE.
