Hi,
The windows' functions you refer to are drivers added to the OS to expand
the functionality and adaptability of the computer. This allows Windows to
installed onto a wide variety of machines. Most of these drivers aren't
loaded either nor can they be considered the "core" of the windows overlay.
Windows is merely a Graphical User Interface...IE an overlay which ties many
modules into one easy-to-use DESKTOP. DOS is still underneath doing the
work.
BTW: I appreciate how slowly you can type...you really did a good job.
