Its called the "Intertop CE Application Builder", and you can download it from their site at http://www.intertop.com It uses a Visual Basic 3.0 style interface and "Basic scripting" code. When you compile for the emulator or downlaod, it translates the project over to MS-VC++, compiles it and can download it to ...Read More

I use dialog boxes for several windows in my app. My application responds to the "show desktop" button. I did need to "play" with parent/owner relationships to get the non-main windows to appear in the foreground in response to the "show desktop" button, but I confess I don't remember the details. I use WS_OVERLAPPED for the main dialog box, but WS_CHILD for the others. Boling (p. 374, _Pr...Read More

BTW I used windowsx.h from windows 3.1( or 3.11 workgroups ) when MS issued it , but now my thought Is to save the time and not space ( more theoretically , because I continue to write and support a lot of code in c and cpp without MFC) . I made the same decision for my app when it runs on PsPC. The Microsoft docs say that apps should not have any visible way to close an app (although Ctrl+Q is OK). I would rather have a usable app than get the Microsoft logo, so I included the X (Close) button. We are in the process of migrating our apps from CE 2.0 to 2.12. The move has been largely trouble-free, however we're having a problem with the layout of controls within dialog boxes. All the controls in our dialogs are "stretched" in the y dimension - in other words, they're all slightly taller and have a slightly greater vertical spacing than was the case under CE 2.0. As a result, the con...Read More

Currently we leave the application out of the NK.bin, and transfer it via eshell. Currently our platform supports ethernet when the image is booted, so we use the ethernet connection to transfer the application for testing. But before we had all the network stuff in place we used CE services with the CEMGR and were able to transfer apps that way, with a serial connection. Even after we added ...Read More
